Creating an Admin key in the OpenAI API platform

  1. In the OpenAI API platform, go to Settings > Admin keys as an organization Owner.
  2. Click Create new Admin key, name it (e.g. Probo Access Review), and set Permissions to Read only, since Probo only reads your members.
  3. Copy the key (sk-admin-…) and store it securely. It’s shown only once.
  1. In Probo, go to Access Reviews > Sources > Add Source.
  2. Find OpenAI, click API Key, paste the key, and click Connect.

Probo names the source after your organization and pulls its members into your campaigns.

  • Key rejected. Confirm it’s an admin key (sk-admin-…) with at least Read only permission. A project key (sk-proj-…) won’t work.
  • No members appear. The key must be created by an organization Owner and belong to the organization you’re reviewing.
